Frequently asked questions
What is the state quota in NEET PG counselling?
In a state government medical college, 50% of MD/MS seats are filled by MCC through the All India Quota and the remaining 50% by the state's own counselling authority, under its own eligibility, reservation and bond rules. Private colleges are counselled by the state too; deemed universities and central institutes by MCC.
How many NEET PG state quota seats are there in India?
In the government colleges NMC's register could be matched to, about 12,979 — against 13,422 All India Quota seats in the same colleges in 2025. It is derived per state as NMC sanctioned intake minus MCC's All India Quota allotments, because no authority publishes the total.
Can I apply to more than one state's NEET PG counselling?
You can register with any state whose rules you meet, and for private and open-to-all seats several states admit candidates from outside. Government state-quota seats usually require a link to the state, which each state defines differently — read the eligibility on that state's guide before paying a fee.

Enter your rank in the tool on this page. It counts, state by state, the All India Quota seats whose final closing rank last year was at or beyond your rank, in every category you can take. It is last year's outcome; the predictor projects it forward with probabilities.
