Using marks? Check the 2026 score scale
NEET PG 2026 is out of 720, not 800. The paper moved to 180 questions, so a score means a different rank than it did last year — the predictor uses a 720-mark curve for 2026. Read the 2026 exam analysis and marks-vs-rank table.

Applying through Uttar Pradesh as well? This predictor covers the counselling MCC runs — the All India Quota, deemed and central universities, and DNB. The other half of every government seat is filled by your state, and UP orders its list on marks after in-service weightage rather than on the All India Rank, so your place in that queue is a different number. See your UP state merit rank.

How to use the NEET PG rank predictor

The predictor runs on three inputs and updates as you change any of them — there is nothing to submit and nothing to sign up for.

  1. 1

    Enter your rank or score

Type your NEET PG All India Rank. If results are not out yet, switch to score and we convert it to an estimated rank using published score-to-rank anchors.

  2. 2

    Set your category and quota

Pick General, EWS, OBC, SC or ST, and tick PwD if it applies. Only the seat categories you are actually eligible for are counted.

  3. 3

Read the chance on every seat

Each seat is labelled Very likely, Likely, Possible, Unlikely or Out of reach, and you can filter by branch, college, state, round and quota.

What the NEET PG college predictor covers

Every prediction is derived from the allotment reports the Medical Counselling Committee publishes after each round. Those reports say who was allotted what, so the deepest rank allotted a seat in a round is that seat’s closing rank — no estimation involved in the historical figures themselves.

  • Years: 2022–2025 MCC counselling, 1,62,377 allotments in total.
  • Rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and stray vacancy, kept separate — a Round 1 cutoff and a stray cutoff are different competitions.
  • Quotas: 11 quotas including All India Quota, DNB, deemed and central universities. State quota counselling is run separately by each state and is not included.
  • Categories: Open, EWS, OBC, SC and ST, each with its PwD sub-category.
  • Courses: 100 MD, MS, diploma and DNB courses across 41 specialties.

NEET PG rank predictor — frequently asked questions

Is this NEET PG rank predictor free?

Yes. The NEET PG rank predictor and college predictor are completely free to use. There is no sign-up, no login, no payment and no limit on how many times you can run a prediction, and you can download your shortlist as a CSV at no cost.

How accurate is the NEET PG rank predictor?

A chronological 2025 backtest favoured the latest actual cutoff over adding historical drift. Its mean absolute error was 5,762 ranks and median error 2,312 ranks across 21,549 exact combinations. Ranges describe historical variation, not guaranteed coverage. Confidence is lower with missing or sparse history.

What data is the prediction based on?

Historical ranks come from the counselling allotment reports published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). We parse them in full — 1,62,377 allotments across 2022–2025, covering 2,169 colleges and 100 courses — with no sampling and no manual transcription. From those we derive the deepest rank that actually got each seat in each round, which is the real cutoff.

Can I use my NEET PG score instead of my rank?

Yes. Switch the input to score and enter your marks out of 720 — NEET PG 2026 moved from 200 questions and 800 marks to 180 questions and 720 marks, and the predictor uses a 720-mark curve for 2026 rather than carrying the old 800-mark one forward. The score becomes an estimated All India Rank and the predictor shows the range that estimate spans. If you already know your actual rank, enter that instead — it is always sharper than a converted score.

Does it cover reserved categories and PwD seats?

Yes. Choose General, EWS, OBC, SC or ST and the predictor counts only the seat categories you can actually be allotted — your own category plus Open, since every candidate competes for Open seats. Ticking PwD adds the corresponding PwD sub-category seats on top. Choose exact category mode to research only your selected reservation and PwD status.

Which quotas and seats does it include?

It covers the counselling MCC conducts: All India Quota, DNB, deemed and central universities, AFMS, and the institutional quotas MCC publishes — 11 quotas in all. It does not cover state quota counselling, which each state conducts separately and publishes on its own portal, so state quota seats will not appear in your results.

How is the 2026 closing rank projected from past years?

The 2025 closing rank for the exact college, branch, quota, category, PwD status and round anchors the estimate. 2024 provides comparison and historical errors set the range. NMC sanctioned capacity is shown separately; seat-growth adjustments are disabled until comparable matrices support a validated improvement.

What is the difference between a rank predictor and a college predictor?

A rank predictor turns your score into an expected rank; a college predictor turns your rank into the colleges and branches you can get. This tool does both on one page: enter a score and it estimates your rank first, then predicts seats from it.

Why do some seats show as Out of reach even though my rank is close?

The chance is computed against the projected cutoff for next year, not last year's number. If a seat's cutoff has been tightening, a rank that would have been enough last year can still be short. Those rows are shown by default, with the margin saying how far off they are, so nothing disappears from your list without telling you why — tick “Hide seats out of reach” once you want the shorter list.

Do I need to create an account or pay anything?

No. Nothing on this site is behind a sign-up or a paywall, and your rank is not stored — the prediction is computed and returned, and that is the end of it.

NEET PG 2026: the pattern change behind the numbers

NEET PG 2026 was held on 30 August 2026 under a rewritten pattern — 180 questions instead of 200, 720 marks instead of 800, and five time-locked groups of 36 questions in place of one freely navigable paper. Counselling still runs on rank, so no closing rank in this predictor changes; what changes is the conversion from a score, which is why 2026 gets its own curve. See the full exam analysis for the difficulty breakdown, subject weightage, the tie-break rule and the 720-scale marks-vs-rank table.

How the prediction is calculated

The latest actual cutoff anchors each exact seat and round. The 2024 comparison and historical error range explain the uncertainty. NMC sanctioned capacity stays separate from MCC counselling availability. Read the methodology and backtest limits.
