NBEMS declared the result on 24 September and, for the first time, published the full list: every candidate’s score out of 720 against their All India Rank. This site’s marks-to-rank curve is read straight off that document, so converting a score is no longer an estimate from coaching tables — it is the distribution itself. The qualifying bar landed at 262, which 1,33,655 candidates cleared.

How accurate were we?

We published a forecast. Here is how it scored.

Three weeks before the result we published a projected marks-to-rank table, quoting every answer to ±45%. Against the declared result its median error was 7%, and 22 of 23 anchors fell inside the range we quoted.

  • Where it mattered. Through 400–530 marks — the band that decides an MD or MS seat — every anchor was within 6.5%.
  • Where it drifted. Below 250 marks it ran about 10% generous, flattering the rank rather than protecting it.
  • Where it broke. At 600 marks it said rank 50; the result says 114. The top of the scale had too few candidates to estimate.
  • What we got wrong. We bracketed the General cutoff at 212–248. It came in at 262, above our range.

The old projection is kept in the data file rather than deleted. See the full comparison.

How it works

Three inputs. No submit button.

The predictor updates as you change any control, so you can see what a filter does the moment you set it.

  1. 1

    Enter your rank or score

Type your All India Rank. Results not out yet? Enter your expected score and we estimate the rank first, with the range that estimate spans.

  2. 2

    Set your category

General, EWS, OBC, SC or ST, and PwD if it applies. Only the seat categories you are actually eligible for are counted.

  3. 3

Read the chance on every seat

Every college, branch and quota, labelled Very likely to Out of reach, ordered the way you fill a preference list. Filter, then download the CSV.

Why this predictor

Built from the results, not the rumours.

The number that matters for any seat is its closing rank — the deepest rank that was actually allotted that college, course, quota and category in a given round. Published counselling results contain that number for every seat, and this site derives all of them rather than estimating any.

  • Every seat, every round

The full allotment reports, parsed end to end — All India Quota, DNB, deemed and central universities, every category and every round including stray vacancy. Nothing is sampled and nothing is filtered out by default.

  • A chance that means what it says

The model is fitted on half the data and tested on the other half. Across seats given an n% chance, about n% closed after that rank — within a few points, at a Brier score of 0.118 against 0.25 for a coin flip.

  • Nothing to sign up for, nothing to pay

No account, no paywall, no advertising. Your rank is used to compute a result and is not stored anywhere. Every method behind a number is written up in full.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the NEET PG 2026 result out, and what is the cutoff?

Yes — NBEMS declared it on 24 September 2026. The qualifying cutoff is 262 out of 720 for General and EWS at the 50th percentile, 244 for General-PwBD at the 45th, and 226 for SC, ST and OBC at the 40th. All India Rank 1 scored 641. The marks-vs-rank table on this site is read off the published result rather than projected onto it, so entering your marks gives you the real distribution.

Is Rank Predictor free to use?

Yes. Every predictor on this site is free, with no sign-up, no login and no payment at any point. You can run as many predictions as you like and export your shortlist as a CSV without paying.

Which entrance exams are covered?

NEET PG is live now, covering MD, MS and DNB admissions through MCC counselling. The predictor is exam-agnostic by design — each additional exam is its published counselling data plus one configuration entry — so more exams are being added.

What makes this different from other rank predictors?

Most predictors work from round numbers that circulate on forums. This one is built by parsing the official counselling allotment reports in full, so every cutoff it shows is the rank that actually got that seat, and every probability it quotes has been measured against held-out data rather than asserted.

Do I need my exam result to use it?

No. If your rank is not out yet, enter your expected score instead and the tool converts it to an estimated rank first, showing the range that estimate spans.

Is my rank or score stored?

No. Your input is used to compute the prediction and is not saved to an account or a profile — there is no account to save it to.
